Apparently this function does not return the database name given in the connection string. I tried this on apache 2.x/php4.3.x/pg7.4.x and apache 1.3.x/php5.x/pg8rc1 and saw this behavior on both setups.

pg_options — 接続に関連するオプションを取得する
pg_options() は、指定した
connection インスタンスの
オプションを保持する文字列を返します。
connectionPgSql\Connection クラスのインスタンス。
connection が null, の場合、デフォルトの接続を使います。
デフォルトの接続とは、pg_connect() または pg_pconnect() によって確立された直近の接続です。
PHP 8.1.0 以降では、デフォルトの接続を使うことは推奨されなくなりました。
connection のオプションを文字列で返します。
